Bachelor of Science Major in CS (BSc)

The Bachelor of Science Major in Computer Science is reserved for students who are pursuing a minor. Computer Science students who are not combining the Bachelor of Science with a minor should enroll in the Bachelor of Computer Science instead.

The Bachelor of Science Major in Computer Science degree requirements were revised and approved in the winter of 2001.

Students taking a Bachelor of Science degree in a subject other than computer science also have the option of taking a minor in computer science.

The most common minor request is for a minor in business. The BSc Major CS table provides the requirements for the Major in Computer Science. The Faculty of Management specifies the requirements for the business minor. Note that computer science students generally do not receive credit towards their degree requirements for COMM 1501. Students must consult with an advisor in computer science and in the Faculty of Management to discuss whether or not they will be permitted to count COMM 1501 towards their degree requirements.
