The Dalhousie Career Services Centre can assist you with researching and developing a job search plan, interview preparation, networking skills, and building professional documents when applying for jobs. The following is a list of their services:
Career Advising: The Career Advisors are knowledgeable about what is happening in the current job market and can help you get the job you want. Drop in Advising is available daily.
On-Campus Recruitment: The Centre is well connected with the best local, national, international, Fortune 500 companies, and recruiting Government Departments. Check the Calendar to find out who is on campus.
Job Postings: There are thousands of jobs for students and many are posted on the Career Services website (we receive up to 15,000 postings annually!). These jobs range from on-campus, part-time, full-time, summer, co-operative education, internships, and volunteer opportunities.
Career Fairs & Special Events: The Centre hosts career fairs on an annual basis including: Volunteer Fair, Graduate Studies Fair, Summer Job Fair, and the Halifax Career Fair. Other events include panel discussions, business etiquette and attire, and career-related workshops relevant to your career development.
Tools, Resources, and Information: Access state-of-the-art career tools and resources so you can create a professional resume and cover letter quickly; practice your interview on-line; take on-line workshops at a time that is convenient for you; and use on-line resources and databases to research possible career opportunities.
