About Our Students
You belong in Dal’s Faculty of Computer Science

You’ll love the strong sense of community in Dalhousie’s Goldberg Computer Science Building. Students, profs and staff enjoy being part of a small, tight-knit group while reaping the benefits of belonging to an internationally-recognized university – it’s the best of both worlds.
Always something fun to do
Take part in ski trips, professional workshops, intramurals, movie nights and weekly social events hosted by the student-run Computer Science Society. The group is frequently voted Dalhousie’s Best Student Society. With one of the highest participation rates on campus, the CS Society lets you meet classmates and professors in a fun and informal way.
Participate in the Peer Partnership Program, where first-year students are matched with upper-level students from the same faculty who can answer questions and share experiences. Or get involved in the Women in Technology Society (WiTS) to help advance the role of women in computer science.
Make a difference
Through hands-on labs, co-op work terms, case studies and field trips, you’ll see that your studies really do make a difference – from hospital patients getting better care because of technology, to companies saving thousands of dollars by avoiding Internet fraud.
